  • Get to know the Instructors – Jeremin

Our founder, Jeremin, loves featuring the Hot Dog Yoga team on social media but when it comes to herself, she’s a little camera shy. So today we turned the tables and got her talking about herself! Find out more about our ever graceful, stretchy leader below.

    A little taste of you:

I’m a kiwi who was born in Singapore, calls Melbourne home and lives in Sydney with the hubby and fluffy white 12.5 year old “puppy” called Pavlova – like the fluffy white New Zealand dessert named after the famous ballerina!

What to expect from a class with you:

Creative sequencing, a strong focus on breath awareness and lots of flow… just like a mindful dance. Regulars know I love my core work too! Just like how I rarely go to the same restaurant or same holiday destination, no two classes will be the same and I love to encourage students to be playful and not take themselves too seriously.

    Favourite pose and why:

Downward facing dog – it feels like I’ve arrived home every time I come into the pose. Even better when my “puppy” does it with me!

    Other talents besides teaching yoga:

Dancing, baking, planning and I started my working life in accounting

What you’re doing when you’re not at yoga:

Brunching, walking the dog with the hubby, travelling and being an organised nerd (I have Excel spreadsheets for EVERYTHING)!

    Favourite quote:

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it – Rumi

    Favourite dog breed:

    Obviously Malteses, but Cavoodles also!

If you could choose a superpower:

Healing. It breaks my heart to see loved ones in pain and not be able to do anything about it. If only I could heal them physically/emotionally! Plus, it would have been so useful on myself when I was a dancer!

    Guilty pleasure:

Dark chocolate desserts (but not dark chocolate)
