Instructor

Dean's journey into yoga began as a search for something deeper than what he had found in other disciplines. He was drawn to yoga not only for its physical benefits but for its ability to transform the mind and spirit. For Dean, the practice of yoga is about aligning with the essence of who we truly are: awakened, aware, and compassionate beings. Over the years, Dean's practice has evolved into a holistic approach that includes meditation, mantra chanting, philosophy, and the study of sacred texts.

The deeper he delved, the more he realized how interconnected everything is, our inner life, our relationship with all beings, and the world we inhabit. Dean teaches Jivamukti Yoga, a practice that blends vigorous asana with all that. It reflects his passions, including veganism, activism, and environmentalism, encouraging a life of compassion, mindfulness, and connection to all beings.

About Vinyasa Krama Flow

28°C

This soulful flow is inspired by Jivamukti Yoga, weaving together a vigorous, progressively built (krama) asana practice with breath awareness and yogic philosophy to create a dynamic and spiritually enriching experience. The intention is to move toward Mukti - liberation in this lifetime.

The practice is rooted in five key tenets: Ahimsā (non-harming), Bhakti (devotion), Dhyāna (meditation), Nāda (sound), and Śāstra (scripture). Together, these principles encourage practitioners to cultivate mindfulness, strength, and flexibility while deepening their spiritual connection and engaging with sacred teachings that inspire ethical living.

Expect mantra (chanting) and meditation woven into the physical practice, creating space for connection, compassion, and awareness both on and off the mat.

Open to all levels, the class includes hands-on adjustments throughout. Beginners will feel supported, while experienced practitioners are invited to explore greater depth and refinement in their practice.
