Get to know the Instructors - Liz
Our lovely Liz is warm and welcoming. A self-proclaimed yoga nerd - when she’s not at yoga, she’s walking her Cattle Dog x Lab x Staffy pup, Maple, cooking (recently exploring food from her Greek-Cypriot roots), travelling (when allowed) and trying different types of movement. Find out more about her below:
What to expect from a class with you:
Expect to slow down tune in to your breath and flow through a creative and playful sequence that moves you towards at least one challenging pose per class.
Favourite pose and why:
Hanuman! This pose has taught me patience like no other. Some days I feel like I’m going backwards and I have to learn to accept and not push.
Other talents besides teaching yoga:
I am also a pilates mat and reformer instructor. Otherwise when I’m not instructing I work in a non-profit working on gender equity issues. I have a background in human rights and environmental campaigning and was initially drawn to yoga because of how the philosophy particularly ahimsa related to this work.
If you could choose a superpower:
To read anything and absorb all the information!
Watching survivor! Hardly anyone I know watches it, so if you watch it, please come and chat to me
